Our Mission
At Paws On Lawns, our mission is to provide exceptional dog walking services while making a positive impact on the education of high school students in Jamaica. We believe that every dog walk can contribute to a brighter future for these students.
The funds raised through the fundraiser will aim to address important needs and contribute to nececities such as: textbooks, supplies, lunch, uniforms, and school transportation. This will create a better learning environment and enhance students' educational experiences.
Jamaica's educational system has struggled with low academic performance —especially in literacy and numeracy— due to financial constraints within a third world country. Many students in Jamaica still face barriers to assessing quality education. Supporting this fundraiser can help improve the quality and accessibility of education in Jamaica.

About us
Paws On Lawns is a dog walking organization founded by two friends, Lauren and Jasmina with a mission to raise money for children to attend high school in Jamaica. We are dedicated to providing top-notch dog walking services while making a positive impact on the education of students in need. Join us in our journey to make a difference!
Hi, I'm Lauren. I own a Maltese poodle and a Cocker Spaniel poodle. Dogs always have an innate sense of playfulness and provide the most unconditional love, so it has always been in my heart to give that love back to them. My family is mostly from Jamaica and we took a trip there this summer. While there, I took a glance at the students and compared them to the students in America. Despite the low population in Jamaica, I only saw 5-10 students on the buses and the ones I saw walking on the street did not own backpacks. I felt the urge to do something to help the students and created Paws on Lawns with my colleague Jasmina.
Hi, I'm Jasmina. I have a boxer-lab mix, a great dane, and a lab. I grew up in a area with the majority of my classmates being from lower socio-economic backgrounds. After moving to Georgia, I discovered how fortunate I am to live in a place like Kennesaw, where education ( high school and college) is a top priority for people my age. With support such as the HOPE scholarship and school counselors, many people in this area are given an enormous privilege to obtain high-quality education. I believe that education is a powerful tool for creating an equitable world, and I'm excited to be part of the effort to make that a reality—especially while making pet friends happy!
